St. Johns County's Durbin Park corridor is getting its first Whole Foods Market, part of a new shopping center that will also bring TJ Maxx, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill and Shake Shack to East Peyton Parkway near UF Health. Jacksonville-based Regency Centers announced the project — called The Berkeley at Durbin Park — and says it plans to break ground in the fourth quarter of 2026, adding another major retail draw to one of the county's busiest growth areas.
According to local news reports and the developer's own announcement, Regency Centers has acquired land along East Peyton Parkway, adjacent to UF Health at Durbin Park, to build and own the grocery-anchored center. For families in Durbin Crossing, Nocatee and the surrounding northern St. Johns neighborhoods, it means an upscale supermarket, off-price shopping and two popular sit-down and fast-casual dining options within a short drive of home.
What's coming to The Berkeley at Durbin Park
Regency Centers says the center will be anchored by Whole Foods Market, the Austin-based grocer known for natural and organic groceries, prepared meals and premium items. Its arrival would give the area a higher-end supermarket option it currently lacks.
