St. Johns seeks Color Crew volunteers for November 14 family 5K
Help at color stations, cheer on runners or join the 5K yourself: St. Johns County is recruiting volunteers for its November 14 event in Elkton.

St. Johns County is looking for neighbors willing to hand out water, cheer on runners and help throw a little color into a Saturday morning.
In an October 16 announcement, the county opened a fresh call for volunteers for its third annual Family Color Run 5K, returning to the St. Johns County Fairgrounds in Elkton on November 14.
How to lend a hand
The volunteer crew will help at water and color stations, support participants along the course and assist at the finish. Duties will depend on what organizers need on event day.
Residents can sign up through the event’s volunteer page. It lists a general race-route role and a separate National Honor Society option. For NHS volunteers, the registration page says service hours will be tracked and verified at check-in and check-out.

The mostly off-road course welcomes different ages and fitness levels. Participants should wear clothes they are comfortable getting covered in colored powder.
Runner registration and event details are available on RunSignup. Check the organizer’s page before heading out for any updates.
