SoFresh Opens July 30 at SilverLeaf Marketplace With Half-Off Day — and It's Not the Only New Tenant

SoFresh, the fast-casual chain known for made-to-order bowls, wraps, salads, proteins and smoothies, opens its SilverLeaf Marketplace location Wednesday, July 30, and it's marking the day with 50% off all in-store purchases. For families in one of St. Johns County's fastest-growing communities, it's a new healthy dining option right at the Publix-anchored center on SilverLeaf Parkway — and a sign of just how quickly the shopping hub around that new grocery store is filling in.

The restaurant sits at 1985 SilverLeaf Parkway, Suite 107, in a 1,450-square-foot space, according to local media reports. It will run daily from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Opening day comes with more than a discount: the launch also includes giveaways and product samples, per a news release cited in those reports. St. Johns County issued the build-out permit for the space on April 2, at a cost of $374,204.

The second location for a familiar local pair

The SilverLeaf store is the second SoFresh owned and operated by franchisees Jeff and Amanda LaConte. The couple opened their first area location on April 14 at The Pavilion at Durbin Park, at 505 Durbin Pavilion Drive, Suite 101.

With the SilverLeaf opening, the brand's count reaches 27 locations across Florida and Pennsylvania. A third Northeast Florida SoFresh — not run by the LaContes — operates in Jacksonville on Roosevelt Boulevard.

A shopping center taking shape

SoFresh is one of several tenants moving into SilverLeaf Marketplace, which anchors around the Publix that opened March 26. At 55,700 square feet, that store ranks among the largest Publix locations in the region.

Here's a look at what else is signed or in the works at the center, based on local reports and county permit records:

Avalon Nails received its build-out permit Feb. 23 for a 2,400-square-foot space, while M Shack's July 17 permit covers a larger 3,300-square-foot buildout, according to local reports. The Dunkin' and Fifth Third Bank outparcels are planned north of SilverLeaf Parkway and west of St. Johns Parkway, near the age-restricted Reverie at TrailMark community, and are still advancing through permitting.

Why it matters for SilverLeaf

SilverLeaf has been among St. Johns County's fastest-growing residential areas, and its commercial core is only now catching up to the rooftops. The steady arrival of a grocery store, restaurants, fitness, banking and everyday services means fewer trips out of the community for the basics — and a clearer picture of the dining and shopping district families there have been waiting on.

For now, the next milestone is a plate of bowls at half price. After that, the center's roster keeps growing.
